Graphite-plugged bronze plates are manufactured to the customer's drawing, dimensions and application information.
Graphite plugs are applied to the plate according to the project specification. In operation, graphite acts as a solid lubricant at the contact interface and provides the self-lubricating function.
Casting, machining and plug application
The process includes bronze casting and machining of the surfaces and interfaces defined in the drawing. Engineering integrates these stages to prepare the part for its industrial application.
After machining, the graphite plugs are applied to the plate. This sequence aligns plug application with the machined geometry and the specification received.
